Last december 10th, DCSI PRO, from BSI Group, presented its new UV-C Robot through a live broadcast at Oporto Airport, where the robot is functioning.
Built from a partnership with INESC TEC, the robot desinfects closed spaces with ultraviolte C radiation, erasing all viruses and bacteria. It allows the selection of the section to sanitize, developing a 360º desinfection of 25m² in 4 minutes. Easy to use and with flexible maping, the UV-C Robot can move at 1.35m/s, being equiped with UV-C 600W lamps and with sensors to detect people and obstacles.
Charging easily and autonomously, it has an autonomy of 2 hours with all its lamps functioning. However, the autonomy may be optimized by selecting the panel in utilization to desinfect the surface.
Carla Silva, from the Communication Direction of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal moderated the event. with a panel constituted by the Researcher José Lima (INESC TEC), Fernando Vieira, Oporto Airport Director, Fernando Ferro, DCSI PRO’s CEO and Luís Riquito, from DCSI PRO’s Automation Department.
